Addressing hundreds of residents in person and online last Saturday, studjurban’s Dr Antoine Zammit presented Mosta’s Slow Streets strategy, illustrating how some of these proposals have set the scene for a general rethinking of Mosta’s Pjazza tar-Rotunda and the surrounding network. studjurban’s design proposal centres on creating a better designed square within prospective infrastructural upgrades initiated by the Local Council and Infrastructure Malta, wherein new paved and landscaped spaces create safer pedestrian zones and slow down vehicular speeds, with a design that facilitates the square’s closure if and when required.
